I just got back from Interface’s office where I saw a cool new diagram of the 100K House posted on their wall. Here it is for your viewing pleasure. Click on the link to see the full image via Flickr. The astute eye will notice a bit more detail and a few modifications from the past renderings.

I’m really liking the standing seam metal. I saw it being installed on a green remodel to an Austin home in a recent episode of “This Old House” and it looked quite easy to install. It looks great, lasts forever and reflects much of the sun’s rays as well.
Thanks to all of the new readers for the comments on previous posts. I will be catching up with them all today.

How can there be side windows? Isn’t the 100k house adjacent to the 120k house on its Western side? Or have I gotten myself turned around?
the exploded view sings to my inner geek! But the key reference is frustrating - on a single page there’s no need for the “temporal shift” as Tufty would say.
Jeremy - You are correct. Sorry for the confusion. This is an image of the 120K house labeled as the 100K. It’s just a bit prettier this way I guess…
Greg - Tufty? Tufty the Squirrel?
Ha! No - Edward Tufte (spelling error there)

No knock on Tufty the squirrel though. He’s pretty sharp too. Well at least he’s not gotten knocked down by a car on the way to get an ice cream..
